Teeth - who needs 'em any way?
You may recall that Thanet Star at the start of the year published a list of dentists in Thanet in an article called Dentists and Thanet - Things You Should Know". Well in a follow up I phones a few practices to see what they offered.
In all cases there were no openings for NHS patients (don't even get me started on that). One was "private only" and gave me the impression I was something to be scraped off the bottom of their shoe for even asking (*cough* Dalby Dental *cough*). The remainder were "too busy" to take on any more under NHS.
It seems that if you want teeth left in your head then you had better start saving now.

Slightly off-topic: during the October 1987 hurricane I lived in Garlinge, & the next day I had a dental appointment (just a check up) at a dentists in Westgate-on-Sea. To their surprise I actually turned up for the appointment (after climbing over several fallen trees & other debris to get there), & they went ahead & examined me despite having no electricity!
