It seems that Thanet Council have managed to nab £3 million out of a possible £16 million for the whole of Kent. This money is for "housing improvements" they say. My experience of such things means that Mears should be celebrating a free give away of cash from the council for doing little if anything of lasting value. Expect a big round of self congratulations that holds little correlation with reality in the next year or so when this cash has been spent.
I apologise if this item is not so well rounded as normal but I have lived through many years of such things before and my experience has been consistent in one thing only - the council has yet to lift a finger to verify what the contractors tell them. So what do you think they are going to "do" with the cash, really.
