Racist Thanet: Are Refugees The Problem?

On Saturday 27th July a film will be screened exposing shocking evidence of racism in Thanet in the recent past. The film entitled "Are Refugees The Problem?" shows people marching and demonstrating against asylum-seekers and immigrants in Margate in 2000.

Local people interviewed in the film speak out against refugees and one young boy says "he's proud to be a Nazi."

But other local people claim that looking after people who have fled from war and violence in their own countries is a sign of civilisation, and that the economic problems of Thanet are not caused by refugees. Indeed it would seem likely that at least part of the issue is the nature of development and the decline of traditional sea-side commerce.

The film contrasts the attitudes of the demonstrators with the realities of refugees, and includes interviews with asylum seekers who tell moving stories of why they were forced to flee their countries of origin to come to Britain.

Made by Broadstairs-based film company, IMS, the film is being screened as part of Thanet Refugee Week.

Mr Norman Thomas
One of the producers of the film, Mr Norman Thomas (pictured thanks to Bill Harris), said: "The film shows some of the most horrific racist attitudes among some people in Thanet. But it also shows other people courageously standing out against the racists."

Mr Thomas, who lives in Broadstairs, added: "In the film the National Front are shown trying their hardest to gain political power in Thanet - but in the end they failed."

Mr Thomas feels the film has a timely warning at a time when, following the recent elections, extreme right-wing parties are on the rise. While it is true that the BNP failed to get a footing in Thanet they continue to try. Times of poverty have historically been used by extreme groups to stir up fear and hatred.

He said: "People's fears of refugees and foreigners can be exploited and manipulated to stir up hatred and violence. We have to all unite to oppose such attitudes."

The screening of the film will take place at 7.30 at the Red Hall, 11 Grosvenor Road, Broadstairs. Admission is free but seating is limited.

I wonder if Norman Thomas has heard of Cobden Turner ?

How many ethnic groups are there in Ghana ?

That there were West Country and Irish deportees in Barbados effectively slaves.

That the Coromante of Jamaice (Ghana area of origin) were slaves of the Spanish before the British invaded and took Jamaica. That the Coromante acted as mercenaries for the Spanish against us.

In their own original country POWs were made slaves. That was in tribal warfare.

Yet the race relations industry (a bigger cause of intolerance than ever the BNP will amount to) classifies (In a Nazi style racial type label hanging exercise only lacking yellow starts for Jews) a group as "Black"

When in their original country they have over twenty tribal groups to classify ethnicity.

What did the odious BNP man say on telly this morning to that equally odious black poet ?

He asked what ethic group box he ticks on a job application. IE What artificial steroetype dreamed up by a postwar sociologist most closely matches the ethnic identity the education system has persuaded you of)

How come one third of the industrial workforce in Leeds in 1800 was from Africa and Asia and no one tried to persuade them their ethnicity was Black or Asian ? Things were not great but they had the same Common Law rights to enjoy peace as anyone else.

That is why on the monitoring forms I create my own option "Common" and tick that.

You can be fooled into encouraging the race relations industry in its sociology folly if you want.

But please remember I encountered the phrase "Institutionalized racism" when Jack Straw was still just a Students Union gob.

And it was invented as a research purposes red herring to test for gullibility and malleability in police trainees.

It is a sad reflection on the multicultural experiment (Unlawful at Common Law) that to promote its agenda it fomented trial by media in the Stephen Lawrence case. The myth of institutionalized racism was promoted to bogus reality by mass hysteria and we are all expected to ignore that, in this process, Stephen was denied justice.

Denied justice in the land of Magna Carta, Bill and Petition of Rights, Constitutional Monarchy, Common Law.

The race relations industry should be held to account for the constitutional vandalism they have wrought.

To promote their cause they imply that the BNP or NF could influence a significant number of British.

Cobblers.

BNP was used as a protest vote.

Holocaust denial lectures to pseudo cadets at the 1999 War and Peace Show ?

Who was at my shoulder getting witness statement and sending it to Lord Greville Janner. Bringing the matter to the attention of authority and the organizers of the show.

Well that would be no one. No Norman Thomas there.

I did it. Because holocaust denial lectures are unacceptable in this country that stood alone as the perpetrator of that holocaust.

Stood alone. This country the ethic analysing do gooders now have the temerity to label institutionally racist.

The do gooder PC brigade are more fascist than the BNP. I take it you will be attending the Norman Thomas mini Nuremberg ?
