Thanet needs heretics that the status quo and give it a damn good thrashing. Those disruptive souls that are not content to tow the party line but are bold enough to challenge things.
These change bringers through whose actions fresh ideas come both by reaction against and by inspirational leadership. "
10 Thanet Heretics You Should Bookmark" listed some of Thanet's heretics. Here are ten more. As before they are in no particular order and I know I've had to leave people out.
Luke Edwards. The new boy on the block and already slated by the likes of me to rise to great things. His blog has started strong and there is no reason why it should not continue to be so. Not frightened of causing a little mild offence this is possibly a new "A list" Thanet blogger to look out for.
Tim Garbutt. A potential Green Party MP for South Thanet. This heritic has little to gain by keeping up the current status quo and everything to gain by challenging it. Right or wrong, agree or disagree - this is a heretic worth paying attention to if only for an alternative point of view.
Mark Nottingham. A blogger not frightened to stire things up, to push the limits and to make a stand where he sees fit. He might not be the best face for Labour to score votes but when it comes to shaking up the status quo this blogger has what it takes. What the result of this blogger's actions and words might be remains to be seen but we can say this ignoring him is not an option.

Mike Harrison is a Labour councillor but we can forgive him that I think. This is a blogger that brings plenty of home brew heretical output. The behaviour of council members in session comes in for a lashing from time to time. He might not make as many waves as fellow Labour bloke Mark Nottignham but that does not mean his waves are not important.
Tony Ovenden. This is the blogger behind Thanet coast life which has been a heretic of Thanet's coastal heritage by not believing everything our dear local council says. Wise man.
Jason (Than.Net). Here is a blogger that has not seen much traction or local mention but is never-the-less addressing the issues that mater to Thanet. This heretic has so far had the gall to say things we all know - like Arlington House is ugly, for example. This is a heretic worth keeping an eye on.
Tree Huggger of "Thanet Hope". Here is a blog that is breaking the cycle of just trashing everything. This is blog with some hope left and a desire to share that hope with you. As the tag line says "Well somebody has to!"
Simon Moores. This is a blogger who was probably once
the heretic of Thanet. I feel that these days he has sold his soul somewhat. Having toned it down for "the greater good". His networkblogs widget continues to have only two followers but maybe his readership are not facebook users. Many hold Simon in high regard for his past contributions to heretical output so he get's a mention of honour at their request.
Observer. A blog that has from time to time risen to be a leading voice of the heretical. Sadly it seems to be in vacation mode a lot these days. Still one to check on from time to time. Watch out for the slightly annoying automatic "sky news" video at the bottom of the page.
Margate Architecture is a blog that, when the time is right, speaks up on issues in an articualte and interestign way. Given it's focus is not as political as many blogs news tends to come from a completely different direction which is both refreshing and sometimes very telling.
